The Process of Crown Lengthening

Once the tooth has a workable surface to apply the crown to, the bone will be fitted with a synthetic crown which replicates the original tooth.
Before the crown lengthening, we will x-ray your teeth to view the state of your teeth as well as beginning to out a crown that will be comfortable to wear. During this time, you should discuss your previous medical history and possibly any medications you're currently taking as they may interfere with the procedure.
It may be possible that we fit you with a temporary crown, so that a permanent crown will last longer and fit better. If this is the case, you will need to undergo two procedures—one to install the temporary crown and one to install the permanent.
